But there is a difference between normal disagreement and living in a constant emotional storm.
After 60, many people have little interest in relationships built around jealousy, manipulation, unnecessary arguments, or endless uncertainty.
They may simply want someone with whom they can breathe.
Someone who doesn’t turn every small misunderstanding into a crisis.
Someone who can say:
“Let’s talk about this.”
instead of:
“Let’s fight about this.”
That’s a very different kind of intimacy.
